about

Born from his PBS documentary of the same name, Life With Ghosts is filmmaker Stephen Berkley’s online community and educational platform devoted to grief, continuing bonds, and consciousness — exploring the connections many people still feel after the death of a loved one.

Through conversations, live events, classes, films, and podcasts featuring mediums, researchers, authors, and spiritual teachers, Life With Ghosts offers thoughtful support for people navigating loss and seeking meaning after profound change. The platform emphasizes emotional honesty, curiosity, discernment, and compassionate community over dogma or sensationalism.

Its audience includes thousands of people around the world looking not only for comfort, but for a deeper understanding of grief, love, connection, and the possibility of nurturing the relationship that remains beyond physical death.

Several community members have asked for a more personal way to connect with me, and so I've opened a small number of one-on-one office hours each week.

My primary work is filmmaking, but this feels important to make space for... you know... to be more of service.

You may talk to me about anything—grief, spirituality, or if you simply have a sense that there's something calling to be explored.

I'm not a therapist, and this isn't formal mediumship. What I do is hold space and listen closely, and when I do that, things happen in a way that often feels clarifying or affirming.

These sessions are offered on a donation basis, with a suggested range of $25–$75.

To keep this sustainable, sessions are limited to my availability.

If that works for you, you’re welcome to schedule a time with me by clicking here
